Sonic LS

The base level of the 2016 Chevrolet Sonic is the LS, which kicks styling off with 15-inch steel wheels, body-color door handles, and manual-adjustable and folding side mirrors. The inside features Sport Cloth seats, four speakers, and some pretty exciting technology. For starters, call home and stream your personal playlists with Bluetooth® technology1, and never miss a viral moment with built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi2, that has a signal strong enough to connect up to seven devices at once. You’ll also have the OnStar® RemoteLink3 mobile app, so you can control your door locks and start the engine from anywhere.

The LS trim level is powered by the 1.8L 4-cylinder engine that pumps out 138 horsepower and 125 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine also has a fuel rating of 26/35 MPG city/hwy4.

In terms of cargo space in all four trim levels, the hatchback model of the Sonic gives you 19 cubic ft. of trunk space5, and 47.7 cubic ft. of cargo space5 when you fold the 60/40 split-folding rear seat flat. In the sedan, you’ll find 14.9 cubic ft. of trunk space5 – which is more than the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla.

Sonic LT

The next option in our 2016 Chevy Sonic trim comparison in Oklahoma City, OK, is the LT. The exterior mirrors are now power-adjustable and have heating capabilities, and you’ll take corners on 15-inch painted aluminum wheels. On the inside, highway driving is made easy with cruise control, and the seats are wrapped in Deluxe Cloth. You’ll also notice the vibrant 7-inch touchscreen with Chevrolet MyLink6. This infotainment system bundles a 6-speaker sound system, Siri® Eyes Free7, Pandora®8 and SiriusXM® Satellite Radio9, and more.

Sonic LTZ

The next trim level for the 2016 Sonic is the LTZ. The 17-inch painted aluminum wheels are sure to catch everyone's eye, and you’ll have maximum visibility during inclement weather thanks to the fog lamps. Inside, the rear view camera10 will help you reverse out of tight parking spaces, and the perforated leather seats bring more comfort to the interior.

The LTZ kicks power up a notch with the ECOTEC 1.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 138 horsepower and 148 lb.-ft. of torque. When paired with the 6-speed transmission you’ll have an EPA-estimated 40 MPG hwy11.

Sonic RS

Last, but certainly not least, is the RS, which gives the Sonic some sporty attitude. Enjoy the 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with contrasting stitching and a race-inspired flat bottom, leather-appointed seats with suede microfiber inserts, and 17-inch Midnight Silver-painted wheels.

Between its two body styles and four trim levels, it’s clear that the 2016 Chevy Sonic has a lot of offer.
